image It seems quite a while since we have been able to announce another beer from the test kitchen on the ground of the Rainier Brewery. But just a couple of days ago Emerald City announced another beer in Betty Black Lager.

Oddly enough we hope that the name of this beer doesn’t collide with another breweries similarly named Black Betty Lager. Although we feel it will be a while until Australia considers appealing Emerald City’s choice of words.

Here is what the brewery has to say about Emerald City Betty Black Lager

Betty Black Lager is a session beer (under 5% abv) made from Washington Grown Barley & Hops. Like Dottie, Betty also has a light crisp finish but it's Chocolate Wheat in Betty that gives the beer it's bold roasted body that drives dark beer fans crazy!

Look for Emerald City Betty Black Lager to be featured at bars and alehouses throughout Seattle, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Bellevue, and many others.
