"Spring forward" with our new experimental hop IPA, “Test Flight Experimental IPA”! What makes it "experimental"? Glad you asked! It's a blend of four experimental hop varieties. Experimental hops are hops that are able to be commercially grown (good yields, disease resistance, harvest availability) and now are in the market to see how they are received both by the brewer and the consumers. The hops we have chosen are all hops that are well suited for west coast or hazy IPAs. Their attributes are citrus (tangerine/grapefruit), tropical (pineapple/mango,papaya), fruity (stone fruits/candy-like) and pine (dank/pine needles).
The hops:
Hopsteiner experimental #10416
Hopsteiner experimental #06277
HBC 586
HBC 692
The malts: pale malt, Vienna malt, flaked corn, malted white wheat, and rolled oats.
The alcohol: around 7% ABV
The IBUs: estimated 50-55
