Event Details

PORTLAND, OREGON: 6.23.23– New Avenues for Youth presents the 12th Annual Brews for New Avenues – a series of events celebrating craft beer and showcasing the social consciousness of the beer community. Since its inception, Brews for New Avenues has raised more than $1.7 Million for New Avenues for Youth, a Portland nonprofit serving youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness, with a focus on prevention. This year’s goal is to raise $250,000 to continue supporting these critical programs and services.

Brews for New Avenues, brought to us by Featured Community Sponsor Point Blank Distributing, features a silent auction sponsored by AT&T, a live auction of rare and large format bottles on the First Interstate Bank Mainstage, a lively food truck area featuring Pidgin Hole and Alchemy Sandwich Co, live music at the Travel Portland outdoor stage from Farnell Newton and The Othership Connection, craft beer from more than 50 local, national and international breweries, and outdoor games headlined by our friends at Pound Disc Golf. Attendees will also be able to purchase mystery bottles from the highly anticipated Wall of Beer, as well as special limited releases from world-renowned brewers including 3 Fonteinen, Ruse Brewing, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales, Block 15, and Logsdon Farmhouse Ales.

Hundreds of beer enthusiasts, many of whom travel to Portland from around the globe, are expected to attend this year’s event for the unique draft lineup and for the opportunity to buy rare to almost-impossible-to-get beers. The exclusive VIP event will feature special pours, as well as a silent auction with hard-to-find bottles. The General Admission event will then welcome all of our guests for an additional silent auction and the chance to bid live on exclusive items.

Live Music Fans, festival goers, and supporters of the cause to end youth homelessness will find themselves at home in this event for the approachable price of $20.

Last year’s event raised more than $260,000 -- a remarkable achievement. “Brews for New Avenues is critical to our mission,” said Lauren Eads, Director of Development & Communications. “It’s incredible to witness beer lovers from all around the world come together to support young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in our community.”

This year, international Guest Brewer 3 Fonteinen joins us from the Senne valley of Belgium, bringing with them highlights from their extensive catalog, past and present. Local favorite and long-time supporter Ruse Brewing will also be at this year’s event as a 2023 Guest Brewer celebrating their incredible beer in a wide spectrum of styles.

Tickets are available for our main event on Saturday, August 19th at Portland’s The Redd on Salmon Street. To purchase: https://newavenues.ejoinme.org/2023BrewsForNewAvenues
