Event Details

BELLINGHAM, WA - Kulshan Brewing Trackside Beer Garden is throwing their second annual Psych- Rock Music Festival–Acid Ball! Building upon last year’s vibrant success, get ready for a truly mind-bending, 5-band line-up featuring: Sugar Candy Mountain, The Shivas, Acid Tongue, King YoungBlood, and Felix the Hammer. The festival will take place at the Trackside Beer Garden on Saturday August 19th from 4-10pm. There will be a $10 cover charge at the door, and kids 12 and under are free!

At the beginning of the Trackside season, the stage was relocated to the northwest corner of the lawn, providing more space for dancing, views from every seat in the house, and optimized acoustics. The upgraded sound system boasts a much higher fidelity setup, and a secondary, brand-new subwoofer —Trackside has never sounded so good!

In addition to the optimizations at Trackside, the Noisy Waters Mural Festival will revitalize the waterfront with new art, workshops, and competitions all weekend! The combination of

Acid Ball and the Noisy Waters Mural Festival will transform the Bellingham Waterfront into a spectacle of sight and sound that you won’t want to miss.

So, take a trip to the Acid Ball itself at Waypoint Park, stroll past the fresh murals along Granary Ave., and settle into the Trackside Beer Garden at the heart of it all. Bring a chair, blanket for the lawn, or whatever you need to be comfortable for a full day of music. Don’t worry, Kulshan has got the beer covered! Be it simple and crushable, or complex and flavorful, Kulshan’s prismatic selection of beer will complement any palate as you kick back and lose yourself in the soundscape of Acid Ball.

Why “Acid Ball”? The Acid Ball is an artifact of Bellingham’s industrial past, a 200-ton spherical monolith. Originally, it held the sulfuric acid used to break down wood into pulp, now the Acid Ball watches over the charming Waypoint Park just up the road from its initial home alongside the digester tanks that tower over the Trackside Beer Garden.
