"Hops of Love First Annual Fresh Hop Tasting and Auction Event" at Brewmaster's Taproom

  • Brewmaster's Taproom 2000 Benson Road South Renton, WA, 98055 United States (map)

Renton, WA – The Brewmaster’s Taproom, located in Renton will be hosting a very special flight of fresh hop beers on Sunday, October 15th from 11:00am until 12:00pm. All beers will be featuring hops developed by Select Botanical Group (www.SelectHops.com) and the Perrault Family Farms as a way to honor the family that has brought you some of the most well-known hops to date – Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe – and some up and coming – Ekuanot and Loral. The flight will be guided by Bobby Wood – Advanced Cicerone and feature fresh hop beers from Cloudburst, Reuben’s, Airways, Fremont and Three Magnets. Tickets can be purchased at the taproom or online through the taproom’s Facebook page. Tickets are $25 each and 100% of the proceeds will go to Rez Dog Rescue out of Yakima, Washington. There is a limited number of tickets and they’re going fast, so make sure to secure yours quickly.

We will also be holding a small auction starting at 11:00am and closing at 1:00pm sharp. All proceeds from the auction will be going to Rez Dog Rescue as well. Some of the items we will have available: a pair of The Ancient Ones from Fremont Brewing; a “Golden Ticket” for all bottle releases at The Brewmaster’s Taproom; rare sours and barrel aged beers; “beer for a year” growler fills and many other special items. We will also have “buy it now” options for the auction items so you can secure the items you want most by coming to the tasting event.

Rez Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 based out of Yakima, WA. They specialize in rescuing dogs off of the Yakima Reservation. They are supported by the Perrault Family Farms, the leading hop developers in Yakima. We are raising money for Rez Dog Rescue and honoring the Perraults for everything they have done for the beer industry and the dogs out in Yakima.

The Brewmaster’s Taproom opened last summer and is helmed by Marley Rall. In Rall’s past life she worked as a fundraiser for many different non-profits. She has made it her mission to bring the charitable side of the craft brewing industry to the forefront, Rall often talks about how gratifying it is to be able to raise money through her craft beer taproom; “I’m looking forward to showing everyone that we can support great causes one pint at a time. It makes me smile from ear to ear knowing that we’ve been able to raise almost $10,000 so far this year!”
