Oregon Cider Week is returning January 2024 for a statewide celebration of cider, featuring tastings, tap takeovers, meet the maker events, pairing dinners, limited releases and more. Produced by the non-profit NW Cider Association (NWCA) and sponsored by Columbia Distributing, this nine day event taps into the buzz of excitement around CiderCon®, the world's largest cider conference, which will be held in Portland that week for the first time in nearly a decade. CiderCon® will bring 1,000+ attendees into the city, including makers and apple growers from around the world.

Oregon is home to nearly 80 cideries, and Portlanders enjoy the honor of drinking more cider per capita than anywhere else in the world. Through Oregon Cider Week and CiderCon® the city is poised to bring together cider professionals and enthusiasts with one-of-a-kind consumer events that offer a taste of the region’s bounty. 

Throughout Oregon! A wide range of events showcasing the Northwest’s vibrant cider culture and award winning ciders are being planned at local dives, high end restaurants, grocery stores, iconic event spaces and cidery tasting rooms throughout the state. Highlights include:

  • Loyal Legion “Kickoff Party” & Loyal 24: 24 taps of cider poured at 2 locations for 7 days, with a kickoff party on 1/15/24.

On Saturday, September 9th, the Corvallis Lions Club is proud to host the annual 0.3K
Albany Beer “Run” fundraising event. The event will span from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
beginning at Calapooia Brewing, 140 NE Hill St, Albany, Ore., and concluding at Deluxe
Brewing, 635 NE Water Ave., Albany, Ore. Registration for the event is $25 per runner
with proceeds benefiting Canine Companions for Independence, a national non-profit
organization that trains and provides assistance dogs.

Dedicated to the below-average athlete and weekend warrior, the Albany Beer "Run"
begins with a beer garden at Calapooia Brewing, opening to participants at 11:00 a.m..
Registration includes a pint of craft beer from Calapooia Brewing prior to the race, which
starts at 12:00 p.m.. The event concludes at Deluxe Brewing with a second pint of
complimentary craft beer and features a carb-loading donut station for runners. The
Deluxe Food Cart will be open after the race with other refreshments available on-site.
The Albany Beer “Run” event is pet-friendly for well-behaved pets. Both Deluxe Brewing
and Calapooia Brewing locations are family friendly, however runners must have valid
identification and be of legal drinking age to enjoy complimentary beer.

Advance registration for the event is open online through September 6th and costs
participants $25 each. Included in event entry is a race medal, an oval 0.3K sticker, an
Albany Beer "Run" commemorative shirt when pre-registered by August 20, and two
craft beer tickets. Runners must be of legal drinking age to redeem beer tickets. Please
bring valid identification and cash. Day-of registration opens at Calapooia Brewing at
10:30 a.m.

The event will feature 40 Oregon craft brews - including selections from coastal breweries and beyond - as a celebration of another incredible year in Oregon beer.

The People’s Courts brings something truly unique to the Pacific Northwest region through high quality courts and games for all ages, groups, and skill levels. Paired with exceptional local food, drinks, and a welcoming social atmosphere, The People’s Courts will be a year-round entertainment destination.

The People's Courts offers:

  • Pickleball: Five indoor and six outdoor pickleball courts plus two "skinny singles" courts, and a “dinkum” court 

  • Bocce Ball: Five courts

  • Ping Pong: Six to ten tables

  • Cornhole: Six to ten courts

  • Disc Golf Putt-Putt: A one-of-a-kind nine hole putt-putt style indoor Disc Golf course

Event Details

Portland, Oregon. Earth. (May 31, 2023)- Ecliptic Brewing is excited to host their fifth “Brewers & Their Bands Event” on June 17th at their Mothership location in North Portland. This official Portland Beer Week Event will showcase multiple live music performances, a festival style beer sampling and food specials from Ecliptic’s kitchen.

 

The event will feature brewers from Breakside Brewing, Stormbreaker Brewing, Ruse Brewing, Unicorn Brewing, McMenamin’s and Ecliptic Brewing, each playing with their respective bands or with the event’s house band. The headliner and house band is the Buds of May Revival, which includes Ecliptic Brewing’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris, playing the washboard. Beer selections from each of the participating breweries will be available for purchase.

 

Brewers & Their Bands will take place June 17th from 3-10pm in Ecliptic Brewing’s parking lot and patio and is family-friendly. The event is free to enter, though an official beer festival glass and tickets must be purchased to sample festival beers. Buy your festival glass and tickets ahead of time for shorter lines on event day! You do not need to purchase tickets to enter the event.
