Subdola is fermented with a unique strain of Kveik that produces very clean, or lager like, fermentation character even at higher temperatures. This 'sneaky' beer is brewed with corn and rice to add body and complexity and dry hopped with Halletau Blanc, a new world German noble hop varietal. Expect lots of floral and sweet malty aroma, biscuity grain character with earthy hop profile and balanced bitterness. Super clean, crisp and extraordinarily refreshing!
Luppolo Brewing Co. is owned and operated by two couples: Eleanor Stewart and Ryan Parfitt, and Anique Ross and Federico (Fede) Stucchi. Ryan, Anique and Eleanor were born and raised in Vancouver and Anique and Eleanor have been friends for over twenty years.
What started as a one-off project with the Bellingham Sister City Association (BSCA) has grown into sometime we look forward to every spring. Tateyama, named after our sister city in Japan, is a rice lager brewed with organic California kokuho rose rice from Koda Farms. Their rice provides a delicate, clean, and soft graininess that sweeps the hop flavors across the tongue. With flavors of jasmine, honeydew, and honeysuckle, this beer just screams spring. As we enter into the longer days and begin spending more time outdoors, we're happy to have Tateyama in our pack or in the fridge.
This easy drinking Mexican Lager would be the perfect beer companion out on a white sandy beach, but it also does pretty well sitting outside on a beautiful sunny Bellingham day. Light crisp malt notes are the central feature of this beer, with a very dry, clean finish, and slight floral hop notes. Highly drinkable, we recommend adding a lime wedge for a slight citrus zing.
