Victoria- Whistle Buoy Brewing Company is celebrating their birthday with an all-day music and beer festival in Market Square that features local food vendors and live wrestling entertainment.

The three year old brewery is celebrating its birthday for the first time, as the majority of the business’ life span has been within the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whistle Buoy is hoping to make up for lost time and to thank the people of Victoria for supporting their small business and getting them through a very challenging few years.

“We want to do something playful and fun that would be unexpected for this venue and put some smiles on people’s faces”

The event will be held in the lower courtyard of historic Market Square, a beautiful heritage brick courtyard in the heart of downtown Victoria on June 25, 2022. The event will go from 2pm to 10pm and will feature five local bands including Alle, Neighbourly, The Projectors, DJ Juice, and Downtown Mischief. The MC will be comedian Evan Mumford. Between musical acts, live wrestling performances will be held by the athletes at 365 Pro Wrestling, a local wrestling entertainment group that is setting up a full wrestling ring at the event. 365 owner Mike Becherer said about the event:

“365 Pro Wrestling is thrilled to be a part of Whistlemania. For people that have never seen our avenue of entertainment before, you’re in for a treat. There will be high flying, bone crunching action, there will also be comedy and technical wrestling. Think of it as a smorgasbord of wrestling so there will be something for everyone”

Food will be provided by The Wandering Mollusk, Los Panas Kitchen, Wannawafel, and coffee by Hey Happy. More food vendors to be announced. Tickets have recently gone on sale and are still available.
