Like many things associated with COVID-19 (AKA, Coronavirus), the government has provided guidance and enforcement to prevent its transmission between people. Recently, this has included the prohibition of crowds larger than 250 and the caution against crowds smaller than 250. For those only monitoring the broad pronouncements, that decision to restrict crowd size was enacted on March 10th. Yet already that decision is outdated with the latest proclamation from the Governor of Washington.

Effective today, March 16th, the Governor of Washington state has prohibited gatherings at bars and restaurants. Except for takeout, all restaurants and bars will have to cease hosting individuals. For those who operate these venues of hospitality, hard decisions are days not weeks away. One of those businesses impacted by this proclamation is Seattle’s Hellbent Brewing Company.

Starting today, from 11 am to 9 pm, customers will only be allowed to recover “beer-to-go” which includes cans, bottles, kegs, or pre-filled growlers. In the event you have concerns regarding surfaces, the brand has confirmed they will take credit card orders over the phone (at (206) 361-3707) for “curbside pickup” (pending a valid 21 and over identification confirmed).

Besides takeout beer, Hellbent Brewing Company is working with local food trucks to offer a one-stop option for those looking for food and drink to go. Serving the area, many of these food trucks have experience with online ordering systems which should minimize engagement between individuals.

Offering these words, the ownership of Hellbent Brewing Company stated:

Thank you for your continued support of Hellbent Brewing Company, service industry employees, local businesses, and the Seattle craft beer scene. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the best way we can.

Take care of each other,

Cheers from a distance,

Hellbent Brewing Company & the Lake City Drinking Team
