Press Release

Vancouver, B.C., … Presented by West Coast Canning and hosted by the BC Craft Brewers Guild, the 2019 BC Craft Brewers Conference—dubbed BC Beer Con—takes place during BC Craft Beer Month on Oct. 17 and 18 and will be the largest to date in this world-class beer city. Due to its explosive growth, the conference now spans two days and has moved to the Harbour Convention Centre (760 Pacific Blvd., Vancouver) where it will host more than 600 attendees. Bringing together the brewing community and beer enthusiasts from all over the Pacific Northwest, the conference aims to connect stakeholders and educate them with insight into initiatives, issues and innovation. Keynote speakers, peer- and industry-led educational seminars, and of course, beer are on the agenda. The conference also includes the Kickoff event, presented by Great Little Box Company, a trade show with more than 60 exhibitors from across North America, as well as the Official After Party, presented by BSG Canada and Gambrinus Malting. BC Beer Con is open to all levels of brewery staff and management, craft beer fans, industry partners, media, influencers and the general public.

“Our third conference will be our largest ever as we increase our size by 30 per cent,” says Ken Beattie, BC Craft Brewers Guild Executive Director. “Our goal is to deliver an exceptional educational experience along with a networking opportunity that will satisfy the vast range of conference attendees from brewing experts, to home brewers to beer enthusiasts. This coupled with satellite events and a famous after-party makes this conference a must-attend event for the entire beer community.”
