Charity Preview: OR: 12/13 Saraveza hosts Northwest Down Syndrome Association fundraiser in Bad Habit Room

image courtesy Portlandbeer.orgTis the season for helping the less fortunate. Which is why we are happy to remind you of a charitable opportunity at Saraveza (1004 N Killingsworth Street Portland, OR 97217).

Starting at 5:00, this Thursday, the Pub is requesting your attendance in their Bad Habit Room, to share a drink with All Born (in), an organization which drives awareness of Down Syndrome.

Special shout out to Hopworks Urban Brewpub and Double Mountain Brewing for donating kegs to this event!

There are some gotchas as only beers from Hopworks & Double Mountain will be credited towards this charity.

With total sales from beer and wine benefiting the Northwest Down Syndrome Association and the Kindergarten Inclusion Cohort, you would dumb to not show up.

About Northwest Down Syndrome

The NWDSA’s mission is to create and nurture a loving and inclusive community celebrating every person with a disability including Down syndrome.

The NWDSA will accomplish this mission by empowering and supporting families and individuals who have been touched by Down syndrome. We will work to increase education, promote public understanding and acceptance, work toward full inclusion, and defend the civil rights of individuals with Down syndrome. Our vision also embraces professionals and the cross disability community. Our statement of values is the core of our organization and the basis for how we make decisions to support our mission.

We believe that relationships are the cornerstones of our organization and that they should be both honored and nurtured.

About Double Mountain Brewing

Matt Swihart and Charlie Devereux founded Double Mountain in 2007 with a clear mission: make great beer for craft beer fans. Ours is a “brewers' brewery”, with an uncompromising focus on beer quality.

From the beginning, our goal was to make beers that we liked to drink. All of our beers are served up unfiltered and long-aged, to deliver maximum flavor and character. The beers can be very complex and assertive, but with the ultimate goal of proper balance. We aim to satisfy both the hardcore aficionados and the more casual craft beer fan, all in the same glass.
