Matchless Ol Lifewine '21 Whiskey Barrel-Aged Barleywine
For Ol’ Lifewine we employed a labor-intensive, almost forgotten English mashing technique known as double mash. The result of so much time and energy is a beer rich in flavor and huge in mouthfeel. Our mash bill resulted in a beer with a body of velvet, carried along by rich vanilla, dried stone fruit, chocolate, toasted nuts, and dark caramel. Smooth and rich this is a beer to celebrate beer.
Hops: East Kent Golding
Malts: Marris Otter, Amber, Brown & Smoked malt
Yeast: Voyager, Barbarian & Flagship (different batches used for blending)
3 different batches of barleywine blended from several Bourbon and Whiskey barrels.
13.4% ABV
