Friends, we'd like to introduce you to a beer we lovingly nurtured for well over three years - our Flanders Red Kriek!
This Belgian inspired ale started off as our normal two-year-old Foudre aged Flanders Red. We then took a small portion and set it aside for nine months in Pinot Noir barrels from our friends at Domaine Serene Winery. While the beer aged and cherry season came upon us, we gathered 1,200lbs of Royal Ann cherries. We then combined the fruit & beer - letting them rest together for the remaining nine months.
Today we present to you - Flanders Red Kriek ready for you to savor and enjoy! We recommend trying next to our Flanders Red and our Oude Kriek to taste the variance.
Aurora red with deep cherry hues, topped with eggshell foam. Bright aromas of pie cherry, leather, cigar, lemon, almond cookies, and sage. Complex flavors of strawberries, pastry crust, Oregon Pinot Noir, Rainier Cherries, and fresh baked almonds. Sweet and sour finish with big bold tannins, balanced dark fruit, and touch of Botanicls.
