Scuttlebutt Blackfish Stout

Press Release

Scuttlebutt Brewing Company is proud to introduce the Blackfish Stout. This very limited one time release was brewed to commemorate the Commissioning of the USS Washington (SSN-787) a brand new Virginia Class submarine built for the US Navy. Working in conjunction with the USS Washington Commissioning Committee, Scuttlebutt brewed this beer as a commemorative item to celebrate the final commissioning ceremony taking place in Newport, VA. The beer will be served at the ceremony in Virginia and is available at Washington military bases, and the Scuttlebutt Brewery and Pub along with local retailers.

A beer as black as the depths as the USS Washington will operate, complex in structure. Northwest two row, Victory Malt, Rolled Oats and Roasted Barley make up the malt bill. Nugget and Cascade Hops provide support.
