On what will undoubtedly be a beautiful, sunny, August 3rd, the ownership of Toronado will celebrate their 5th Anniversary. As they have performed, tirelessly, for multiple years, Saturday the 3rd will feature memorable beers served, augmented with spirits and cocktails, and a food menu to punctuate the experience.

Unfortunately, this marks the first August, in which The Toronado's curly-haired, manager, and owner - Matt Bonney - will not be present. Lost too soon, on March 23rd, 2019; the bar invites one and all to not only celebrate another year but also the legacy of the man many called Centaur - Matt Bonney.

Located at 1205 NE 65th Street in Seattle, The Toronado was birthed from the mind of several men, all with the goal of opening a world-class bar in Settle. Owned by Lynn and Matt Bonney, this unassuming-looking alehouse, with a famous name; opened its doors in the Summer of 2014. With a focus on curated, local, national, and imported beer; served side-by-side with a complimentary selection of spirits and cocktails. For Matt Bonney, this was the culmination of a dream planted years prior while working as General Manager for close friend Matthew Vandenberghe - the owner of Bottleworks, Brouwer's Cafe, and The Burgundian.

Since 2014, when Matt and Lynn opened the doors to thirsty customers, the Toronado has served as a safe place for those celebrating birthdays, engagements, a really crappy day, or the loss of a loved one. It has been home to countless private parties, brewery dinners, brewery nights, and the occasional tomahawk and turkey leg nights; all served with a pint of ale or lager, and maybe a plate of bacon. Fast approaching the start of its sixth year, the Toronado hopes you will stop in this Saturday for Brunch, an afternoon meal, or as a nightcap on your day.

As a celebration of not only the man but the bar which he helped start, the staff and ownership have dug into the cellar to serve the following beers:

Doors open at 10 AM with Brunch available thru 2:30 PM. Don't forget, to stick around for Happy Hour from 3 pm to 7 pm.
