Stoup Brewing Company reminds you of their ESB, tomorrow, and their new crowlers this Thursday.

ESB. Extra Special Bitter, English-style Bitter, are some of the many word combinations for a style of beers whose influence originates from the British Empire.

ESB stands for “extra special bitter.” This style is known for its balance and the interplay between malt and hop bitterness. English pale ales display earthy, herbal English-variety hop character. Medium to high hop bitterness, flavor and aroma should be evident. The yeast strains used in these beers lend a fruitiness to their aromatics and flavor, referred to as esters. The residual malt and defining sweetness of this richly flavored, full-bodied bitter is medium to medium-high.

Brewed with Maris Otter and Crystal malts, Stoup Brewing Company continues to brew beers that are as loyal to style as their frequent customers. Soon to be released at the taproom, ESB receives a hearty pat on the back from classical hops East Kent Goldings and Palisade. The end result is a sessionable (5.4% ABV and 30 IBU) beer that is a balance of toasted malt which shakes hands with a bit of herbal and earthy hop characteristics.

Raise a pint tomorrow, May 21st, at the brewery's taproom or take one home in a growler to celebrate in your own classic way.

Besides ESB, the brewery is set to start their crowler program featuring Citra IPA and German Style Pilsner for $12 each, in 32-ounce cans.
