Boneyard Beer hosts COBW Pro-Am Tap Takeover during Central Oregon Beer Week

Press Release

Bend, OR – May 8, 2019 – Imagine getting to brew your very own homebrew recipe on a local brewery’s commercial system and your beer being served at locations around town! Central Oregon Beer Week (COBW) and the Central Oregon Homebrewers Organization (COHO) teamed up and did just that, holding a homebrew competition to select winning beers to pair up with Central Oregon breweries for a special COBW Pro-Am event. On Saturday, May 18, Bend’s Boneyard Beer will host the COBW Pro-Am Tap Takeover, featuring six winning homebrew recipes brewed with local breweries.

The Boneyard Pub will have all six beers on tap all day long, and will host a Meet the Brewers event from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All proceeds from sales of these Pro-Am beers during this event will benefit the Central Oregon Brewers Guild and COHO.

The styles of beer range from Australian Sparkling Ale to IPA to Vanilla Stout so there will be a variety to tease your tastebuds! Here are the participating homebrewers and breweries:

Kevin Tucker of COHO with Kobold Brewing

  • David Feldman of COHO with Immersion Brewing

  • Dan Schlegal & Frank Hammack of Portland’s Oregon Brew Crew with Deschutes Brewery

About Boneyard Beer
In 2010, Boneyard Beer was started in an old auto shop tucked away in the backstreets of Bend, Oregon’s historical district. Without any outside investors or major bank loans, Boneyard’s inception was unconventional to say the least. After decades in the brewing industry, owner Tony Lawrence built up a “boneyard” of old equipment he collected from 13 different breweries around the country. Alongside co-founders, Clay and Melodee Storey, this second-hand brewing equipment was pieced together to brew the first batch of Boneyard Beer in May 2010. Boneyard currently distributes draft beer in the Pacific Northwest.
