Ten years ago Black Raven started as a tiny tasting room in a nondescript business park on the edge of Redmond. We opened our doors to the public with one beer on tap, crossed our fingers, and hoped for the best. People discovered us, word of mouth spread and our space came to life, we started building a community and culture founded on a single principle, brew beer we want to drink. We've been incredibly fortunate over the last 10 years, the outpouring of love and support continues to fuel our passion for a craft that resonates so deeply with so many people. We feel this resonance more acutely this time a year when we approach an event that celebrates not only our accomplishments but all of you that brought us here, we're of course talking about Flock Party.

With nearly 10 years to prepare for their Anniversary, Redmond's Black Raven Brewing Company has moved their annual "Flock Party" to August. Now hold on, there's a reasonable basis for this delay and it has everything do with scale. Specifically, the brewery is hard at work installing, testing, and (soon) brewing on a brand new brewery in Woodinville. So as a way to (and please pardon this turn about phrasing) kill two birds with one stone, the brewery will no doubt be hosting both their Anniversary and Grand Opening (of the production brewery and taproom), sometime in August.

The move to the, yet to be finished, brewery and taproom also allows the original brewery and taproom location to focus more on research and development. No doubt, this will include limited-edition, one-time-only, accented with the beers that many of you have enjoyed for nearly a decade. In the meantime, the brewery asks all loyal supporters of Black Raven Brewing beers to look to August when the Flock Party returns.
