Despite being internationally known for their Black Butte Porter, Deschutes Brewery would like to remind you (as they repeatedly do) there are plenty of beers to enjoy from the brewery in Bend. In fact, the brewery is happy to share another in their series of beers test brewed in their state-of-the-art "pilot brewery", located at their production brewery in Bend.
Known as Botanic Ale, Deschutes took advantage of the junipers throughout Deschutes County. The result is a beer that is described as a "... lively amalgamation of juniper and hops flowing through a blossoming blend of herbs, citrus, and botanicals". Brewed with Pilsner and Rye Malts, the beer is married to a modest amount of Cascade hops, resulting in a beer hat both enjoyable by itself or for the adventurous types as a cocktail.
Heading back to the main brewhouse, Deschutes is happy to announce the return of a regional favorite - Twilight Summer Ale. An easy-drinking, low-alcohol, sipper in time for Summer; Twilight Summer Ale is always appreciated. Brewed with Pale, Carapils, Crystal, and Munich malts; Twilight Summer Ale greets your lips before Northern Brewer, Amarillo, Cascade, and US Tettang hops chaperone your journey as you ponder the next barbecue or outdoor bonfire. Look for Twilight Summer Ale, wherever you find Deschutes Brewery beers.
