“In 2018, Hellbent Brewing installed a solar energy system on its roof with the help of Seattle-based Sphere Solar Energy and found other resource-saving measures through Envirostars. Hellbent Brewing now boasts the largest solar energy system on a brewery in Washington, generating about 30 percent of its own energy.”
-Seattle Office of Economic Development
With an endorsement like that, Hellbent Brewing Company has reason to celebrate. Which is probably why the brewery is releasing a new beer, not only commemorating their achievement but also to recognize another important date - Earth Day. Starting, April 20th, the brewery is happy to announce the release of Solared Out IPA.
At Hellbent Brewing Company we value the environment and feel lucky to be based in the Pacific Northwest. Utilizing as much clean energy as we can is one way we choose to give back to this region we call home. Releasing the weekend before Earth Day, we dedicate this beer to our solar panels.
Brewed in the now famous West Coast Style, Solared doesn't take itself too seriously as the brewery births this Citrus wonder upon the Earth. Brewed with a copious amount of El Dorado, Azacca, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Simcoe Hops; no doubt you will presume this beer to be a hazy IPA with its lack of clarity and simple malt recipe (of pale malt, rolled oats, and malted wheat) but head brewer and co-founder Brian Young would quickly remind you that looks are deceiving because its what you taste that matter. At 6.8% and 48 IBU, Solar IPA awaits your next visit, starting April 20th.
