Saturday, March 23 from 2 pm to 6 pm, you are cordially invited to celebrate the release of Hellbent Brewing's Pau Hana Tropical IPA. Complimented with passion fruit, oranges, and guava, this beer marks the next in the brewery's Small Tank series.
This beer is dedicated to all you hop heads looking to unwind after a hard day. In Hawaiian, “pau hana” (pronounced “pow hawna”) means “work is finished,” so let the tropical hop party begin! This version of our Pau Hana Tropical IPA starts with an IPA as its base, and it’s infused with a POG blend (passionfruit, orange, guava) to create a tiny tropical paradise in every glass. Layers of citrus hop flavors and aromas intertwine with the seductive, tropical flavors of passionfruit, orange and guava. Extensively dry hopped, this beer has an intense fruity hop character and mild malt flavor. While we’re teaching you about the culture, passionfruit in Hawaiian is Liliko’i (“lee-lee-co e”) .
6-7% ABV 45-55 IBU
On top of the release, Hellbent will be hosting Washington Wild Brewshed Alliance but with a twist. Poke & Pints. With $1 from every pint of Hellbent-brewed beers and $1 from every Big Boys Kainan Food Truck Poke bowl will be donated to benefit Washington Wild. As this is Poke & Pints, one should expect live music courtesy Elias Ka’uhane as well as Poke from onsite food truck Big Boys Kainan.
Washington Wild will be on hand with raffle tickets for some awesome prizes. We'll be hosting 5 stations around the brewery and each station you participate in gives you an extra raffle ticket. Participate in all 5 and get two extra tickets! Stations will include trivia on public lands, writing a postcard to your senators, a photo booth, a tell your story station, and a visual trivia round identifying places around the state! Washington Wild staff and volunteers will be hanging out and providing info on what they are all about. Come and get involved in Washington Wild's efforts to protect Washington's wild lands and waters! As always, this is a 21 and over only event.
