Seattle's Tin Dog Brewing Company celebrates five years with special releases, small bites, and live folk music

Long overlooked by those on their way to Seattle’s more famous breweries, the upstart known as Tin Dog has announced their Fifth-anniversary party on February 9th, from 12 pm to 5 pm. Wherever you hail from, you will be rewarded with an opportunity to purchase their latest, limited-edition, release - Errant Whisper. In addition to purchasing their latest release, the brewery is stealing bottles and draft from their cellar to showcase their five-years of success.

It began with a dream that turned into reality.

While working in the field of Information Technology, Eric Rough elected to leave his job and pursue a dream by expanding from a humble homebrew hobby into a 2-barrel nano-brewery. Starting in 2013, Eric and his spouse Lisa opened their doors to those seeking a unique experience in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. At the time Eric and Lisa joined a small fraternity of breweries in the South Seattle area.

What makes their beers unique?

Like all things, brewing is unique because each beer is the expression of the brewer's enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to detail. Recognizing his love of so-called "farmhouse" ales, Eric Rough brews in the traditions of European brewers, despite a United States postal code. The result from his labor are beers that aren’t sold in four or five-ounce volumes. Rather the brewery prefers that you sit in their taproom while enjoying one of their beers in the vessel it was designed for.

With this in mind, Tin Dog invites regulars, locals, and strangers alike to visit their brewery and taproom at 309 S. Cloverdale Street, in the Cloverdale Business Park.
