Yakima, WA – Starting May 14, Bale Breaker Brewing Company’s newly expanded Yakima Valley Taproom will be open seven days a week, increasing access to this popular local hangout and tourist destination.
A 1,400 square foot enclosed patio built by Scout Lake Construction, features sliding glass doors for easy indoor/outdoor access, custom tables by Yakima custom furniture company Atlas & Cedar, and heaters for use in cooler weather, making it a year-round space.
The pergola and picnic tables that were part of the brewery’s original construction have been moved into the adjacent hop field. Dubbed the Field 41 Pergola, it will be surrounded on three sides by lush hops that you can reach out and touch, with a beer in hand, of course. The lawn remains open for yard games, hula hooping and plenty of room to play and lounge.
Meghann Quinn, co-owner and business manager notes, “We’re thrilled that the taproom has become a true gathering place where people enjoy a beer among our family’s hop fields, and have a great time with the people they love.”
New Hours starting May 14 are Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-9:00pm, Friday-Saturday 12:00-9:00pm, Sunday 12:00-6:00pm. Local food vendors and food trucks will be at the brewery most days throughout the summer, including Guerra’s Gourmet who will be preparing their Fresh off the Farm locally-sourced dinners again this year on Wednesday nights. Brewery tours (registration required) are also being planned for the summer. Check www.balebreaker.com/events to review the food truck schedule and tour schedule.
