Boundary Bay Ski to Sea Race Day IPA, now in cans.
First run in 1973, the Ski to Sea is the original adventure race, a team relay from the Mt. Baker Ski Area to Bellingham Bay. The race is held annually on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend in Whatcom County, Washington. Traditionally, a Ski to Sea team has consisted of eight racers competing in seven different sports: Cross Country Ski, Downhill Ski/Snowboard, Running, Road Bike, Canoe (2 paddlers), Cyclocross Bike, and Sea Kayak ...

If you're a casual outdoors type who favors the calmness of the forest, the unpredictability of the waterways, or the sensation of your joints bouncing in your skin as you descend a mountaintop on a bike, then you've heard of ski to sea. But even if you aren't one addicted to ice packs, tiger balm, or pain medication, you've enjoyed a pint of Ski to Sea Race Day IPA at Boundary Bay Brewing's bistro.

Announced recently, Boundary Bay Brewing is canning their Ski to Sea Race Day IPA. Brewed in honor of the 45-year old Whatcom County competition, Ski to Sea Race Day IPA has notes of tropical fruits, biscuit, and citrus characteristics like light lemon, and grapefruit. At 6% NS 55 IBU, you might need to bike a few more miles before reaching for one of these.
