Continuing their support of Ballard, Reuben's Brews announces a third location.

"Progress lies not in enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be." -Khalil Gibran.

If you asked a humble homebrewer, an expat from the United Kingdom who had dreams of opening a brewery, where he'd be in 10 years, he'd probably respond hopefully still in business. Instead, Adam Robbings, co-owner of Reuben's Brews is happy to announce they are moving to their third location as part of their continued brewery expansion. Located a few miles from the taproom and brewery lies the future home of their production brewery. If pressed for an explanation, Robbings would admit frustrations over building options.

As we grew we needed space – but unfortunately nothing was ever available within the same building! This led us to have multiple leases all within walking distance, but which made day-to-day operations between them very difficult.

All of this is changing after acquiring a location along 46th Street, but it isn't without some required upgrades in exchange for being (literally) close to Adam and his family's home.

Included in the transaction, Reuben's Brews will get a 70-year old warehouse space which requires a new roof, new siding, modern insulation, and environmental controls (e.g. heating). In addition to giving the seven-decade-old building a facelift, Reuben's Brews will also expand their long-awaited oak-aged sour program.

Adam is quick to point out that the current taproom space will remain unchanged, which includes their commitment to charities through their various events. Which of course means a steady stream of Thursday events focused on charities, complemented with more than 20 unique beers from the hardworking staff in the brewery.

But Adam, with the enthusiasm of a child on Christmas morning, seems most excited about finally having a traditional office where he can escape, no doubt scheming on the next beer or new state where he will introduce beers named after his son Reuben.
