DENVER – Great Divide Brewing Company is excited to unveil the brewery’s 2019 release calendar featuring seven new beers along with updated packaging and formats.
“We have lots of brewing and packaging innovation for 2019 and I’m really proud of the work that our team has done to help bring these projects to fruition,” said Brian Dunn, founder of Great Divide Brewing Co.
Leading the way are two new entries in the revered Yeti series: Chocolate Cherry Yeti and S’more Yeti. Great Divide will also introduce a new juicy double IPA and a special one-off anniversary ale commemorating 25 years of brewing excellence. Introduced in 2018, the Wood Werks Barrel Series continues with a saison aged in red wine barrels, a Belgian dark sour and our approximation of an Old Fashioned.
“On the beer side, I’m especially looking forward to our 25th Anniversary juicy double IPA,” said Dunn. “It will have a ton of hop flavor and aroma, not too high on the bitterness and pretty reasonable at 8% ABV. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate 25 years in the business.”
For the first time, Great Divide will produce 19.2oz cans starting with Denver Pale Ale and Heyday Modern IPA while the year-round and seasonal lineup will move away from plastic rings and into six-pack cardboard cartons. Fan-favorite Strawberry Rhubarb Sour will transition from 22oz bottles to 12oz six-pack cans in May and Hazy IPA will mark the debut of 16oz four-pack cans. The city’s rich arts community will again take center stage when a fourth installment of the Denver Pale Ale Artist Series is revealed midyear.
“On the packaging side of things, six-pack cartons will be really nice for us, and two new can sizes (16-ounce and 19.2-ounce) will be fun,” explained Dunn. “All in all, 2019 will be a great year!”
