Final tap list announced for this year's Peche Fest at Saraveza.

Believe it or not, there are other things harvested besides hops. Consider the peach. Often compared to one’s own posterior in emojis, the peach is another indicator that Fall is here and soon all things living will retreat from the heat, to prepare for an oncoming Winter. So before that happens, how about stopping by North Portland’s Saraveza for Peche Fest.

Oregon’s most delectable single-fruit varietal beer event the Peche Fest returns to Saraveza and the Bad Habit Room this Saturday, October 6th with over 20 beach beers and ciders with names and descriptions below. Entry is only $10 for a collectible official Peche Fest glass and two drink tickets. The selection is of some of the rarest and tastiest fruit beers in the world from all over the country with an emphasis on the pacific northwest. There will be peach farmhouse ales, wheat ales, sour ales, barrel-aged beers, ciders and Peach IPA’s.

Those food specials? How does Achiote Pork Sandwich, Fish Tacos, or Homemade Peach Poptarts grab you?

General admission hours are 12 pm to 10 pm in Saraveza’s main bar and their “Bad Habit Room”. With your $10 admission you get a glass, 2 drink tickets with additional tickets for sale at $2 each or 3 for $5.

To whet your appetite, here’s the final draft list including some hard-to-find beers from local and regional breweries and cideries.

Beer & Cider Taplist:

Alesong Brewing & Blending: Peche

Ripe stone fruit aromas waft from this wild-fermented and hazy farmhouse ale. Flavors of a fresh, juicy peach intertwine with an earthy yeast complexity, and finish with a light-bodied zip of acidity. Let this fresh squeezed reminder of summer roll down your chin as you contemplate the next bottle. 6.9% ABV and 22 IBU’s.

Beachwood Brewing: Careful with that Peach, Eugene

Lambic-inspired ale with peaches. Glorious aromas of juicy ripe fruit gets your mouth watering before you take your first sip. Bold acidity and our house funk partner nice with big flavors of fuzzy peach. Sweet and full bodied with a tart finish, leaving you immediately wanting another sip. 7% ABV.

Block 15 Brewing/Great Notion Brewing: Peach Punch (You in the Eye)

IPA with Peach and Apricot

Great Notion and Block 15 have teamed up again, blending techniques and ideas from both breweries to brew this luscious, fruit-forward IPA. Peach Punch was fermented with peaches and apricots and dry-hopped with massive amounts of Galaxy and Mosaic hops. 7% ABV

Burial Beer Co.: Separation of Light And Dark on Peaches

(Mixed Culture Saison Ale with Carolina Peaches)

The conception of our wildest dreams and most simple desires, this Mixed Culture Ale is made with NC barley and wheat from Riverbend Malt and aged in our Brunello Foudre. Dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc hops this year we have aged the beer atop 2 pounds per gallon of fresh Carolina peaches. 6.0%abv

Crux Fermentation Project: Peach Farmhouse

Although farmhouse ales originated in the French region of Belgium, we’ve adopted them as our own, finding them to offer refreshing relief during any season. Inspired by the early summer bounty, we infused local peaches to make one of our favorite styles even tastier. Oregon peaches, both sweet & tart, combine with the traditional spicy saison notes and earthy esters to round out this palate pleaser. 6.5% ABV and 25 IBU’s.

De Garde Brewing: The Peach

A spontaneous wild ale aged in oak barrels with Oregon peaches. 6.9% ABV.

Dwinell Country Ales: Homegrown (Peach Wheat Ale)

Peachy. Tart. Refreshing. A mixed-culture wheat ale brewed with 100% Mecca Grade Estate Malt (Madras, OR) and refermented over local peaches from Gunkel Orchards (Maryhill, WA). 3.8% ABV

Ex Novo Brewing: Quattor

4th anniversary sour ale, aged in chardonnay barrels with Oregon peaches. 7.8% ABV and 10 IBU’s.

Little Beast Brewing: Golden Stone

Oak-aged ale with Peaches, Nectarines and Apricots. 8.1% ABV.

Logsdon Farmhouse Ales: Peche n’ Brett

Seizoen Bretta oak aged and loaded with tons of local organic peaches (a pound and a half per gallon). 10% ABV.

pFriem Family Brewers: Peche

When we add juicy, heirloom peaches to our year-old Lambic inspired ale, magic happens— they unite, gushing with bright acidity, nutty undertones and a tangy finish. It does take eight more months of aging, but it’s well worth the wait. 5.8% ABV.

Portland Cider: Peach Sweet Tea Cider

Dripping with fresh juicy peaches and finished with Malty Assam Black Tea from local Tao Tea, this semi-sweet Cider is perfect for the heat!

Propolis Brewing: Peche

Flemish Style Golden Ale Aged in Chardonnay barrels with Peaches & Brettanomyces.

Solera Brewery: 2018 Pêche Cuvee

This year’s Peche Cuvee is a blend of 2017 aged in Pinot barrels from Maryhill Winery, and 2016 aged in Rye Whiskey barrels from Ransom Spirits. This beer highlights the ridiculous amount of  fresh peaches in each vintage from our friends at Mt View Orchard. 7.8% abv.

Structures Brewing: Psychosphere

Peach saison aged in oak and stainless steel. 5.25% ABV.

Three Magnets Brewing: Big Tom's Milkshake IPA - Peach Melba

Double dry-hopped IPA brewed with peach, raspberry and vanilla. 7.2% ABV.

Tieton Cider: Bourbon Peach

Juice from hand-picked Washington State peaches is married with the richness of Kentucky bourbon barrels. This creates the perfect balance of sweet, ripe peaches and tartness of green apples. The charred oak of bourbon barrels gives this cider a deep vanilla and plum character. A touch of oak tannin finishes this cider off perfectly. 6.9% ABV.

Upland Brewing/Cigar City Brewing: Galaxy Grove

This collaboration with our friends at Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, FL is a funky IPA with miles of depth. During primary fermentation, we use two strains of Brettanomyces, both known for their fruity, tropical characteristics to complement the use of hops. The beer was then transferred into previously used oak barrels from Upland's Wood Shop to add a light acidity to the beer before aging on peaches and guavas. After going through another fermentation on the fruit, the beer was generously dry-hopped with Centennial, Citra, and Galaxy hops.

Upright Brewing: Fantasia

Upright's first barrel fermented fruit beer is rooted in heavy use of whole fruit and encouragement of the orchard yeasts to contribute to the fermentation, yielding a complex beer inspired by the wild ales of Belgium. 6% ABV.

Wolf Tree Brewing: Joe Peche

Farmhouse style Saison brewed with peaches. 6% ABV.

Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery: Pesca

Barrel-aged wild saison aged on Baird farm organic peaches, with Brett and wild yeast grown from farm rose hips. 8% ABV and 20 IBU’s.

Yachats Brewing: Peche (Oak Fermented Saison with Peaches)

This mixed culture saison features fresh Earlystar peaches from Mosier, Oregon. Peche is fermented in a large open wine barrel, then transferred onto the fruit and re-fermented for several months. 9.5% ABV
