Bale Breaker Brewing announces two events "Ales for ALS" supporting ALS Research

Press Release

Now in its fifth year, Ales for ALS™ is a national fundraising and awareness campaign that was developed in Yakima and raises funds to #endALS.  In 2016, 115 breweries participated, across 33 states. Over the last five years, these breweries have raised a total of $1,250,000 for ALS research. The Yakima Valley kickoff event and a preceding golf tournament are hosted by Bale Breaker Brewing Company.

Loftus Ranches and YCH Hops created Ales for ALS™ in 2012 to support a very worthy cause - ALS research. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that leads to paralysis, due to the death of motor neurons in the spinal cord and brain. About 5,000 people in the US are diagnosed with ALS each year.

Breweries across the country who participate in Ales for ALS™ have access to a unique proprietary hop blend, free of charge, in exchange for participation in Ales for ALS™. Each brews a special beer with these hops and donates at least $1 per pint to  ALS TDI, the world's leader in ALS research.

Bale Breaker Brewing Company participates by creating a unique “Bubba’s Brew” each year from the hop blend offered by the Ales for ALS™ program. This beer is released at the Yakima Valley kickoff weekend events, the 2nd Annual Birdies for Bubba Golf Tournament on July 14, and the 4th Annual Ales for ALS™ Event on July 15.
