KENMORE, WA -- Cairn Brewing, Kenmore's newest brewery, will release a new year-around beer, The Savage Moose Juice, to debut on May 20th with a limited preview at the University of Washington Bothell Block Party on Saturday, May 20th.
The Savage Moose Juice is an American Wheat beer named for the Savage Moose Sports Pub in Kenmore, just down the Burke-Gilman Trail from Cairn’s brewery and taproom. The Savage Moose Juice is designed to be a refreshing beer to enjoy on a summer’s day with friends and family.
According to co-owner and brewer Bill Boyd, "The Savage Moose Juice is our very first partnership beer, meant to be light and refreshing with hints of orange and coriander." This release features Saaz hops, coming in at 14 IBUs and 5.5% ABV. It will be available at Cairn Brewing and the Savage Moore Sports Pub, starting May 28th.
Jen Boyd, co-owner stated, "With Savage Moose Juice, we’re able to partner with another Kenmore business to invest more in Kenmore as a community and offer more options for Kenmore residents to have truly local choices. We’re had an amazing relationship with local businesses like Micro Homebrew and working with The Savage Moose is just a great opportunity to build on that effort. "
Open just over one year, Cairn Brewing is located along the Burke-Gilman Trail in Kenmore. Featuring hop-forward beers and lagers brewed on-site, there are currently eleven Cairn-made beers on-tap ranging from German Pilsner to Milk Stout. The casual setting is family and dog friendly, offers both indoor and outdoor seating, snacks and rotating food trucks. Patrons are invited to view the brewing area, relax on couches or at communal tables, play games and enjoy time with family and friends while sampling freshly brewed craft beers.
