This Friday, May 26th, Baerlic Brewing will have three unique beers on draft and for sale (in 500ml bottles) featuring three very different approaches to brewing.
Starting with a sweet, imperial stout base, Black Grove is a barrel aged beast with notes of "... bitter cocoa, blackstrap molasses, and vanilla." When deconstructed, Black Grove is a contrast between the sweet base of the imperial stout and the Maker's Mark-soaked, oak barrels with sharp and spicy notes. Look for this on draft at the brewery taproom or for sale in 500ml bottles at the brewery and nearby grocers.
Next up is Lightweight, a Double India Pale Ale, whose name is the very antithesis of what insides. With a recipe inspired after enjoying many bottles of Russian River's Blind Pig, Lightweight will warm your throat and stomach while inspiring thoughts of pine, stonefruit, and tropical hops. At 8.0% this beer will be sold on draft and in 500ml bottles. Look for this at the brewery's taproom or (in bottles) at nearby grocers.
Finally the brewery releases something for those warm days and nights, with Test Flight Session India Pale Ale. Brewed to be light, but with notes of pineapple, mango, stonefruit, and of course Northwest pine, the beer is available in pints or bottles at the brewery. Much like the other upcoming releases, this will also be available in 500ml bottles at the brewery or nearby grocers.
Baerlic Brewing Company's taproom is located at 2234 S.E. 11th Avenue, with doors opening at 2 pm this Friday. For more information visit their website at http://baerlicbrewing.com.
