With the 7th annual Portland Beer Week (presented by General Distributors Inc.) quickly approaching, the news and events are coming together quickly. Some of the things we are most excited about are our official 2017 beer, our largest and our most ambitious kickoff party to-date, discounted hotel rooms for visitors and the return of our IPA invitational.

2017 Official Beer HOP BERRY IPA
This year we have teamed up with Culmination Brewing, Hotlips Pizza/Soda and Oregon Fruit Products to create "Hop Berry IPA," our official beer of the 2017 Portland Beer Week. Merging a pale, fruity hopped India Pale Ale with Oregon's signature fruit Marionberries has resulted in a drinkable, balanced beer that's equal parts tropical hop and berry with a mild bitterness. We used sexy hop varieties Vic's Secret and Galaxy along with the same natural fruit puree from Oregon Fruit Products that Hotlips uses in their sodas.
Celebrate the release of the official 2017 Portland Beer Week beer - "Hop Berry IPA" on Friday, June 9th at seven different locations across town. Culmination Brewing's staff will split into three teams for a pub crawl that will go across the city celebrating "Hop Berry IPA" release and Portland Beer Week's opening weekend.

Kickoff Party
Thurs. June 8th 4 - 10pm $10 tickets @ Exchange Ballroom & Cascade Rooftop 123 NE 3rd Ave. Portland, OR
Help us kickoff the eleven days of festivities with an indoor/outdoor party at the Exchange Ballroom and Cascade Rooftop at the party to end all parties.
Centrally located next to the Burnside Bridge on the eastside of Portland, the Exchange Building and ballroom is nearby the Tri-Met bus lines 20 and 6 and the Streetcar. Parking is available on site as well!
This years Kickoff Party features an indoor marketplace with tons of free food and drink samples and hot fresh pizza from Hotlips. Snack your way through the marketplace, pick up a new Growler, beer wallet or purse, beer week t-shirt or hat while sampling local meats, cheese, ice cream and more. Then, make your way to the roof for a stunning view of downtown Portland and the Willamette River.
DRINK: Beer from Culmination Brewing, Breakside Brewery, Hopworks Urban Brewery, Stormbreaker Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing and Little Beast Brewing. Hard cider from the NW Cider Association and craft spirit samples and bottles to-go from House Spirits.
EAT: HOTLIPS Pizza, Whole Foods Marketplace, Salt & Straw Ice Cream, Blue Star Donuts, Oregon Cheese Guild, NW Bierhaus Jerky, 5404 Meats, Yakima Hop Candy, Mission Chocolates, Yakima Hop Candy and Eliot's Adult Nut Butters.

Masters of IPA III: Invitational Beerfest
Friday, June 16th 4-9pm $10 @ Ecliptic Brewing

Portland Beer Week and Ecliptic Brewing present the Masters of IPA invitational returns for it's 3rd year with fourteen of the best India Pale Ale brewers from across the country. This years fest will be held outdoors at Ecliptic Brewing with collectible glassware, 4oz and 8oz pours of beer.
Tickets are $10 for a glass and 3 beer tickets. An individual glass is $7, additional drink tickets are $2 each. 4oz pours are 1 ticket, 8oz pours will be 2 tickets.
