Boundary Bay Brewing commissions Bellingham-native Evan White, to design this year's Cabin Fever label artwork.

Press Release

Bellingham, Wash. – 11/16/17

Boundary Bay Brewery’s winter seasonal can release, Cabin Fever, features artwork from Bellingham artist Evan Whitehead.

Whitehead, a Bellingham native, is a self-taught artist whose work features familiar expressive landscapes using acrylic on a variety of mediums. As an avid snowboarder, hiker and explorer, Whitehead has a love of the North Cascades that comes to life in his art.

“Tying an amazing local artist to our brand was natural,” says Operations Manager Casey Diggs. “Building relations with our community is what we’re all about.”

Whitehead said he couldn’t be more excited to work with the Boundary Bay team. “Boundary Bay is almost like a second home,” Whitehead says. “Working with BB is pretty high on the stoke level.”

Whitehead has been painting for 19 years, and now owns a freelance business, Evergreen Art. Whitehead draws inspiration from the beauty of nature, particularly local mountains. Inspiration for the Cabin Fever project can from his own cabin in Glacier, Wash.

“With three feet of snow up there last year, it just set itself up perfectly,” Whitehead says.

Cabin Fever is available in 12oz cans and on draft throughout Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and King Counties. Rich and malty with a balanced hop character, this beer is deceptively strong. With an extended conditioning period, Cabin Fever is blissfully smooth.  For more information about this beer, visit: bbaybrewery.com/beer.
