Central City Brewers + Distillers releases Red Racer Low Rider Raspberry Berliner weisse

Press Release

SURREY, BC – Central City Brewers + Distillers releases their new Red Racer Low Rider Raspberry and announces the first in a series of low-alcohol refreshers.

The Red Racer Low Rider Raspberry is a new take on the classic Berliner Weisse style. This low alcohol refresher is rich in berry flavour and offers a slightly creamy, fruity and sour combination that is sure to please. The bright red raspberry colour adds to the unique experience of enjoying this delicious and quaffable beer.

“With the Low Rider we were trying for something a bit different,” says Gary Lohin, Brewmaster at Central City Brewers and Distillers. “Taking inspiration from the popular Berry Smooth from our Across the Nation Collaboration Pack, we adapted the recipe to create this lightly tart and fruity take on the classic Berliner Weisse.”

Coming in at a very sessionable 3.5% alcohol, Low Rider Raspberry uses real raspberry juice to give it an authentic flavour and rich red colour.  We also add lactose and vanilla for a light and creamy body.

Red Racer Low Rider Raspberry is the first in our new Low Rider series of lightly tart yet fruity and sessionable beers.  Expect more to come in 2018.
