Portside Porter – Narrows Brewing, Tacoma

Just in time for winter, a new Porter from Narrows! This is a sessionable brown porter that allows for strong coffee notes to come through. Less filling than a lot of dark beers this beer is very drinkable while still maintaining the roasted malt notes that porter drinkers look for. Keep an eye out for a one-off coconut version available only in the taproom in mid-December. 4.9% AV / 35 IBU

Ring of Fire IPA – Narrows Brewing, Tacoma

The return of our very popular winter seasonal IPA. In order to construct this brew we use a variety of hops from around the Pacific Rim: Orbit from New Zealand, Summer and Pride of Ringwood from Australia, Sorachi Ace from Japan, Mt. Rainier from Washington and Mt. Hood from Oregon. We also use malted barley from Patagonia, Hawaiian red sea salt and hand grown Philippine rice. All this comes together to create a unique brew filled with the aroma of melon, citrus, lavender and spice. Nicely balanced, yet with enough hop presence to remind you that this is still an IPA. Enjoy the beer, contemplate the world. Available in the taproom December 21st. 6.9% ABV / 70 IBU

Prop Wash Pale Ale – Narrows Brewing, Tacoma

Coming in late December is a new year-round beer from Narrows, Prop Wash Pale Ale. This NW Pale Ale is brewed with both Northwest and British malted barley giving it a medium body and slightly sweet start. This sweetness is quickly balanced by the presence of Chinook hops giving the beer a clean fresh finish. An aroma of flowers, spiciness and citrus is provided by two late additions of Amarillo hops, once during the boil, and another 10 pounds added as a dry-hop. Overall this pale is easy drinking with an aroma and flavor that will still appeal to the IPA drinkers of the Northwest. Available in the taproom December 28th. 5.5% ABV / 55 IBU

Rule Breaker IPA #1 – Old Schoolhouse Brewing, Winthrop

The first in a series of one-off beers. #1 features Citra hops with a light malt profile to let the hops shine through. We plan to release several of these Rule Breaker IPAs in the coming months, with limited distribution. 6.7% ABV / 55 IBU

Entire Barrel Aged Stout – Pike Brewing, Seattle

Pike Entire is smooth and chocolaty, reminiscent of small-batch bourbon with its vanilla and wood overtones. The 2016 vintage was made by aging Imperial Stout in Woodinville Whiskey barrels, which impart creamy vanilla and whiskey flavors. After 10 long months of aging it is blended with Pike XXXXX Stout. A rare treat that also ages well. 9.9% ABV / 85 IBU

Wonderland Winter Warmer Imperial Stout – Populuxe Brewing, Seattle

A reinterpretation of an old classic blending a year old batch of rye whiskey barrel aged Imperial Stout with a fresh, fall brewed batch to create a full-bodied, balanced winter treat. Notes of spicy rye, chocolate and roasted coffee contributed by the complex malt bill combine with the dark fruitiness of dates and plum from Scottish ale yeast. Add to this the tart, dry tannins of barrel aging and smoky, spicy zing of rye and you have a big, robust ale ready to chase away the winter rain. 10.2% ABV / 30 IBU

We dreamed this one up at our most recent coffee & beer event, where it instantly became a crowd favorite. We take our Cram Session Coffee Porter and add nutmeg, vanilla, and brown sugar to mimic the flavors of the holiday beverage. Skip the eggnog this year and bring growlers to your holiday parties!
