Portland, OR – After a long hiatus, Flemish Kiss, our award winning pale ale with Brettanomyces, is returning beginning today in our Tasting Room.
This is the first bottled batch from our 60 barrel foudre, which was patiently aging for 10 months. After first undergoing a primary fermentation with a clean ale yeast, Flemish Kiss is transformed into a complex ale from a long fermentation with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis. The result is a floral, earthy pale ale with notes of cherry and a light acidity.
Flemish Kiss won Silver at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival and Bronze at the 2014 World Beer Cup for American Style Brett Beer. Bottles will be available for $12 starting at on Friday, 11/4 and will be available in Portland area stores the following week. A draft version will be available in the Tasting Room only.
The Commons Brewery opened in December 2011 crafting small batch, approachable and balanced beers inspired by European brewing traditions. The Tasting Room is located in the heart of Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District at 630 SE Belmont Street and is open everyday from .
