Bend, Oregon (October 2016) Sunriver Brewing Company was thrilled to be recognized with two additional awards this fall.
In late September the brewery brought home a Silver Medal for D’Bomb from the Oregon Beer
Awards Fresh Hop Competition in Hood River. The OBA competition included 76 fresh hop beers from 51 different breweries from the state of Oregon. D’Bomb Fresh Hop IPA is loaded with fresh hop Amarillo hops from Crosby Hop Farms, located in Woodburn Oregon. “We love the fact that we can produce such a fantastic fresh hop beer from farms so close to home”, says
Ryan Duley, Director of Sales and Marketing.
Just last week at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) Sunriver Brewing won a Silver Medal for Rippin NW Ale in the American-Style Strong Pale Ale category. This category is the third largest amongst the 96 beer style categories at this nationally recognized prestigious competition. “Winning a GABF silver medal is a tremendous victory for the entire Sunriver Brewing team”, says Brett Thomas, Head Brewer. “We’re honored to be competing at this level, especially against some of the finest hop forward breweries in the nation”
about Sunriver Brewing Company -
Sunriver Brewing Company’s pub in the Village at Sunriver opened to rave reviews in the summer of
2012. Recognizing that the original pub would not accommodate demand, a 12,500 square foot building was purchased in the Business Park at Sunriver where in January 2014, the company began brewing with a capacity of 2,100 barrels. Since then, the brewery has expanded several times to brew over 6,000 barrels this spring. Talented head brewer, Brett Thomas, prides himself on making the highest quality beer. Since 2014, Sunriver Brewing Company has garnered 9 national/international awards including three gold, three silver and one bronze at the NABA, a silver medal at the GABF and a gold medal at World Beer Cup. In February of 2016, Sunriver opened its Galveston Pub in Bend.
