PORTLAND, Ore.  ... Altabira City Tavern has released menu details for the upcoming Commons Brewery Dinner at 6:30 p.m.September 28, the first of its three fall beer dinners featuring collaborations with craft brewers from around the state.  Guests will enjoy a 4-course gastropub-style menu prepared by chef de cuisine Luis Escorcia and pastry chef Natalie Harkness, paired with craft beers from the featured brewery.  
Menu for Wednesday, September 28th with Commons Brewery
Reception
Salt cod fritters, chile aioli
Avocado toast, lime, cilantro
Pork rillettes, crostini, pickled onions
Pairing: The Commons Myrtle, a tart Farmhouse ale with a pleasant acidity

First Course
Beer and cheese soup with cheddar biscuit
Pairing: The Commons Pils, a Northern German-style pilsner

Second Course
Scotch egg with a Lyonnaise salad of frisee, radish, fine herbs and sherry vinaigrette
Pairing: The Commons Flemish Kiss, a Foudre Aged American brett ale

Third Course
Braised beef short ribs, marble potatoes, rainbow chard and Nardello peppers
Pairing: The Commons Farmhouse Ale, a golden, crisp and floral Belgian ale

Dessert
Peach and huckleberry semifreddo
Pairing: The Commons’ Fleur de Blanc, a white farmhouse with rose hips, petals and elderflowers

The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and dinner commences at 7:00 p.m.  Twenty seats are available at $75 per person, drinks, food and gratuity included.  Reservations may be made by calling the restaurant at (503) 963-3600.
