Boise, Idaho ... Payette Brewing Company, Idaho’s largest brewery, announces its twist on the classic German Märzen Style Lager with the release of Oktoberfest. Although Payette Brewing Company has brewed this beer the past five years, this year is unique for they are releasing it in cans, available this August thru September. Oktoberfest will be available in draft and 12 ounce cans in six-packs and twelve-packs as a seasonal release.

Oktoberfest Märzen Style Lager lands at 5.9% ABV and 10 IBU's, has a rich body, smooth flavor and notes of sweet caramel malt that are like polka music to your mouth. Oktoberfest will be available in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Payette Brewing’s Marketing and Art Director, Paige Coyle, mentioned, "We are thrilled to put one of our favorites in to cans for the first time. Having an American brewery brew an international style of beer is always an interesting change of pace for our brewers and fun addition to our packaging lineup."

Grab your lederhosens and dirndl dresses and come celebrate Oktoberfest at Payette Brewing Company’s new Tap Room, located at 733 South Pioneer Street, on September 16 starting at 5:00 PM, the same weekend it kicks off in Munich, Germany. Payette will bring a little Germany to the brewery with one liter steins, German inspired food, Oktoberfest merchandise for sale, a seven piece brass only polka band and more! City of Boise Major, David Bieter, will be tapping the first keg to follow similar Oktoberfest traditions in Munich. So raise a glass with us and give a hearty, “Prost!” as this is going to be a party you don’t want to miss! Leading up to the party, Payette will bring smaller versions to selected bars and restaurants to celebrate the beer's release.
