Seattle, Wash, ... The Schooner Zodiac, the Bellingham-based tall ship, is announcing a 6-day port of call to South Lake Union. Visitors can step aboard The Zodiac while she is moored from July 23 to 28 at the west wall of MOHAI and the Center for Wooden Boats. The Zodiac will be open to the public for free deck tours each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Public sailings also are offered departing from Lake Union and sailing throughout Lake Washington.

The public can take part in three special sailing events:
·        A seafood and wine tasting dinner sail Saturday, July 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $89 per passenger and include a Northwest seafood dinner and wine tasting on deck.
·        On the afternoon of Sunday, July 24, The Zodiac will embark on an afternoon picnic sail from 3 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available for $75 per adult and $55 per child.
·        On Wednesday, July 27, The Zodiac will host a beer-tasting dinner sail with Maritime Pacific Brewery on board. Tickets are $85 and include beer tasting as well as dinner prepared from the ship’s galley.

The Zodiac is a classic, 160-foot U.S. Coast Guard-certified vessel, operated by a licensed captain and experienced team of volunteer crewmembers. She departs her Bellingham homeport for a variety of public and private charters, as well as day and evening sails from spring through fall, exploring the pristine anchorages of the San Juan Islands and Canadian Gulf Islands. The Zodiac also is an ideal setting for company events, wedding receptions and gatherings of family and friends.
