Brewery Event: OR: Portland: Registration now open for the "Ecliptic Beer Mile"

Press Release

Portland, OR (March 9, 2016) – Registration is now open for the second annual Ecliptic Beer Mile.  The race will kick off at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016 and will start and end at Ecliptic Brewing. The Ecliptic Beer Mile is a one of a kind, one-mile race on Mississippi Avenue. The registration fee is $35 until May 14 or race sell-out.

The one-mile race will feature an out and back course starting and finishing at Ecliptic. Runners will take off from N Cook Street and breeze down Mississippi Avenue with beer slogging in their bellies to the halfway point just before N Russell Street. Runners finish the race by returning up the grueling hill on Mississippi Ave to enjoy an ice cold brew. Stick around for an epic after-party complete with music, brewery tours and more!

Participants can register on at www.onemilebeerrun.com.  All participants will receive the official 2016 race t-shirt and two free Ecliptic beers (for all participants 21 years of age with valid ID).  With a capacity of only 500 runners, the race is expected to sell out quickly.
Carrie Conway, Operations Director of CK Running, LLC, is excited to kick off the race again this year: “This is one of the most unique running events in Portland and we are thrilled to be bringing it back for a second year. We chose one of the best breweries in the city for a reason and can't wait for race day!”
The race will be partnering with Sunshine Division as the official charitable partner. The Ecliptic Beer Mile will be collecting canned food donations at pre-race packet pickup at the brewery on Saturday, May 14 and on race day.  All participants are asked to bring along at least one canned food item to the event.
