Everett, Washington 08/24/15 – Scuttlebutt Brewing Co has collaborated with 90.3 KEXP to create Transistor IPA, a crisp, session friendly IPA with all proceeds to benefit the KEXP New Home in Seattle Center.
PARTNERS
Scuttlebutt and KEXP have come together in a collaborative partnership initiated by Scuttlebutt’s keen interest in helping KEXP through an urgent funding dilemma. Scuttlebutt and KEXP are both local businesses, working independently of the ever increasing corporate/conglomerate structure dominating their respective industries. Each valuing quality over shear volume, championing authenticity, local and community, relevant to the business world that both Scuttlebutt and KEXP individually participate in. The end result is a rare, high quality product for the consumer that embodies value and integrity.
TRANSISTOR IPA
A Pleasantly Bitter IPA. Crisp and session friendly, this beer features a floral and woody hop bouquet and beautiful golden hue. Brewed with Columbus, Chinook, Glacier and Nugget hops, Transistor IPA weighs in with 68 IBU’s and is 5.6% abv. The label and packaging for Transistor IPA were designed by Dave Narcizo, co-founder of Lakuna Design and drummer for Throwing Muses. Narcizo joined Throwing Muses in 1983 and has been an active voice on the rock music scene ever since.
Transistor IPA will be available beginning September 1st, 2015 in both 6 packs and on draft.
“We are very excited to work with Scuttlebutt,” said KEXP Morning Show host John Richards. “They are a local, family run, family owned brewery who makes great beer, and we are a Seattle based radio station run by the community, for the community – it couldn’t be a better pair. We are grateful for this partnership and can’t wait to share this delicious beer with the city.”
“KEXP has been enriching lives in our community for a long time,” said Scuttlebutt founder Phil Bannan Sr., “and we are thrilled to be able to support their evolution into an even more public facing arts organization.”
