Burnside Brewing Co. reinvents the classic German-style Kölsch... again, with the Sunsplash Kölsch release this Wednesday July 1st 2015. Anyone who comes into the pub beginning at 4pm receives a raffle ticket and you get another raffle ticket for every pint ordered. Winner will be randomly selected after 6pm, must be present to win.
About Sunsplash Kölsch
Sunsplash Kölsch is inspired by a Jamaican beverage made in tribute of a reggae fest held in Jamaica that originated in the 70's. Sunsplash begins as a German style Kölsch Ale brewed with premium pilsner malt and a touch of wheat and Munich malts.  We then add Tettnanger hops, and ferment with a German ale yeast at 59 degrees to create a crisp, dry, and thirst quenching beer.  With the aromatic additions of Caribbean Sorrel (a relative of Hibiscus), Thai Ginger, & Fresh Orange Zest. 5.4% ABV 18 I.B.U.’s
Burnside Sunsplash, in addition to all Burnside Ales is unfiltered.  This requires an increased time commitment, but pays dividends in the depth, character, and flavor profile of our offerings.
