Brewery News: New Belgium offering someone from Washington an opportunity to go to to Doe Bay Fest.

Press Release

Ft. Collins, Colo., April 16, 2015 – Cort Muller, from San Francisco, who dared to venture to the top of a mountain with his trusty bike, has won the Red Rocks Rendezvous Adventure, from New Belgium Brewing, for tagging his epic Instagram photo with #WestCoastSlowRide. Erica Husse from Lake Tahoe, Calif. captured feelings of tranquility and serenity in a shot of Fallen Leaf Lake and will be going to High Sierra Music Festival to continue to slow it down and live in the present. New Belgium is now on the hunt for the next adventurous fan who wants to enjoy a weekend at Doe Bay Fest filled with music, camping, local eats and New Belgium beer.

These adventure awards are all in honor of Slow Ride IPA, New Belgium Brewing’s latest year-round release. The brewery is teaming up with Stay Wild Magazine to offer beer lovers the chance to win one of four trips to a Wild West town, plus camping and rad gear for two. Muller and Husse are the first two of four winners.

Doe Bay Fest, which is isolated between mainland USA to the east and British Columbia’s Vancouver to the West, is a 40-minute ferry ride from anywhere and calls the idyllic Doe Bay Resort and Orcas Island home. This next adventure up for grabs is celebrating its 8th anniversary this year. The four-day festival is so much more than just music – it’s a communal gathering you just have to experience for yourself. A backdrop of forested mountains, rocky coves and expansive views of the Rosario Strait welcomes fans and artists with open arms and live music floating on the breeze. The event runs from August 6 – 10, 2015 and offers kayaking, canoeing, cycling and hiking adventures, a ton of local talent and perfect camping conditions.

New Belgium Brewing will get every adventure winner there and back, but first they must prove they’re up for the adventure by tagging their most epic travel photos with #WestCoastSlowRide.

Winning the #WestCoastSlowRide Doe Bay Fest adventure is any adventurer’s dream. The winners will travel in style with:
  • A full camp setup from TICLA – because you gotta be comfy and cozy after a long day of exploring the Pacific Northwest wilderness;
  • A full camp kit from Stanley – because you’ll need some sturdy storage for all those sessionable IPAs;
  • An ENO Double Nest Hammock – to help you kick back, relax and take in the tunes;
  • And a Yakima rack for your vehicle – because you’ll need a way to transport your two, brand-new Fat Tire cruisers! Yes, TWO!
So get adventuring and tag those photos with #WestCoastSlowRide for the chance to win. New Belgium’s panel of judges will choose the winner in May. Keep your eye out for more West Coast Slow Ride adventure prizes and #GoSlowMo with Slow Ride IPA.
