Brewery News: WA: Ellensburg: Iron Horse Brewery sponsors the "St. Paddy Day Half K" March 14th from 2pm - 3:48pm.

Press Release

ELLENSBURG, WA  ...  Iron Horse Brewery invites all humans to their upcoming race called the St. Paddy Day Half K on March 14th from 2pm to 3:48pm  in Ellensburg (412 N Main Street). This micro-run contains all of the benefits of an ultra marathon, but without actually having to run very far, because running is hard according to science.  “Following our ideals of making it easy for people to do the right thing, this F.I.S.H. food bank fundraiser has a massive dollars-to-mile ratio advantage which is a key indicator in the race-for-a-cause world. Ok, that’s not really a thing, I just made it up, but if it were, this would”, said Greg Parker General Manager at Iron Horse Brewery  “Our goal is to raise $1,000 in a two hour period. I’ve got total confidence we can do it, because, well, we already did.  Pre sale race entries already have already eclipsed $1,000”, commented Parker.

Activities and Fun Times
The St.Paddy Day Half K is a family friendly event.  Besides running .32 miles, there will be activity stations throughout the course, including a master balloon artist, face painting, Bike Fights, a sweatband bedazzling station, bean bag toss and more.

Each paid entry to the race includes a medal, sweatband, and race bib.  There will be water stations, music by the ‘Burg, snacks, slices of Pizza and a KIND bar booth to motivate runners along the route.

Race Entry Fees are $25.00 for adults 21 and over.  $20 for 13-20 age group and $1 for under 13.  Group packs also available.   Register ahead of time at    Day of registration is possible while spots available.
