Festival Preview: WA: 7/12 Bremerton Summer Brewfest

Besides planning for Independence Day, the Washington Beer Commission hope you include them in your July agenda.

Saturday, July 12th (from noon to 6:30pm), the Bremerton Summer Brewfest (Pacific Avenue, between 4th Street and 7th St.) makes its annual return to Kistap County. Depending on preferred mode of transportation, the festival is a short walk or drive from the Seattle to Bremerton ferry.

This year, the festival organizers have encouraged the (over 30) Washington breweries to infuse their beers using a Randall. In fact the brewers have been asked to infuse their beers with fruits, coffee, spices, or extra hops.

Randall, as defined by the creator – Dogfish Head Brewery Inc.

Randall, a true Dogfish Head invention, is an organoleptic hop transducer module. What's that you say? A double-chamber filter that you connect to a tap of your favorite beer and fill with flavor-enhancing ingredients.

We first developed Randall back around 2002 to beat our West Coast brethren in a hop-centric beer showdown called The Lupulin Slam. We thought we'd just build that one and that would be the end of it, but right out of the gates fellow beer geeks and brewers asked us to build Randalls for them – so we did.

During the festival one will encounter over 100 unique beers, from over 30 Washington breweries. Additionally there will be food vendors and live music for those looking for something, other than beer.
