Beer Release: NW: Coming Soon … Southern Tier Goat Boy Imperial Weizenbock

image sourced from Southern Tier BrewingAs the weather starts to shift from Winter to Spring we wanted to remind you that it’s still cold outside. All the more reason to add Southern Tier’s Goat Boy Imperial Weizenbock to the list of warming beers.

Goat Boy Imperial Weizenbock is the first weizenbock produced by the brewery, Brewed with five types of malt and two types of Hops, this beer weighs in at 7.50% ABV

Brewery Description of Southern Tier Goat Boy Imperial Weizenbock

Smooth and rich with a slightly sweet banana aroma, this beer pairs well with aged cheeses, roasted meats, and shortbread cookies.

True to the style, Goat Boy is malty and lightly hopped, reminiscent of beers first brewed in 14th century Einbeck, Germany. Funny thing about this town’s name – when the style was adopted by brewers in Munich, their accents pronounced “Einbeck” as “ein Bock,” which is German for “Billy Goat.” To this day, many visual puns using goats have adorned labels of Bock beers.

Adding a bit of creative flare to the label, the brewery contacted Nate Duval, from Austin (Texas), to create the unique label with a goat on a tricycle.

Look for bottles and draft of Goat Boy Imperial Weizenbock, wherever you find Southern Tier products.

Cheers
