Living in the United States it's easy to forget about brewers from British Columbia and all parts north. Hopefully this lack of recognition isn't negatively influenced by over 2500 registered craft brewers. Just in case you need a reminder - regarding the qualifications of Canada’s brewers - this writer wants to bring up Fernie Brewing Co. and their latest release, Mammoth Winter Ale.
Described by the brewery as “... Our most decadent brew yet – rich, strong winter black ale, with a healthy addition of chocolate malt, plus infusions of dark organic cocoa and curacao orange peel providing unique flavour,”, this beer was released to recognize FBC's 10th Anniversary.
Weighing in at 8.00% Alcohol By Volume (ABV), this beer should warm anyone's innards on a cold night in front of a roaring fire or while hanging with friends & family.
Look for 650ml bottles of Fernie Brewing Co. Mammoth Winter Ale in liquor stores and on draft throughout British Columbia.
