Event Planner *Pushpin: OR: 7/14 3:30pm Reminder #pdxbeergeeks party at Hollywood Theatere
Just a quick reminder that #pdxbeergeeks beer blog is celebrating their 2nd year of blogging in Portland. Head over to Hollywood Theatere (4122 NE Sandy Blvd.) for a showing of Casey Pugh’s Star Wars Uncut. As part of #pdxbeergeeks’ celebration they (along with Hollywood Theatere) will be donating a portion of tickets sales, Atomic Pizza, and all the beer sales to the PDX organization Outside In.
The event begins with Star Wars characters in film quality costumes from the Cloud City Garrison mingling with the attendees. After the 3:30 showing of the movie, the party will move to Atomic Pizza, next door to the Hollywood Theatre. Beer for the evening has been donated by local breweries, including Natian Brewery, Lompoc Brewing, Fort George Brewery and 10 Barrel Brewing, and Sasquatch Brewing, and money from all beer sales will benefit Outside In. About Star Wars Uncut
Star Wars Uncut is a crazy fan mashup remake of the original Star Wars movies. It is the brainchild of Casey Pugh, a developer dedicated to creating interactive experiences on the web. In 2009, Casey was inspired to use the Internet and an ever-ready pool of passionate Star Wars fans to crowd source the classic film Star Wars IV: A New Hope. This pet project turned into a labor of love and creativity on a large scale. Nearly a thousand fans came together to participate and the resulting movie is equal parts fun, kooky, and dearly nostalgic.

Outside In began in 1968, and we have continually revised our Homeless Youth Services and Medical Services to meet changing community needs. Our mission is to help homeless youth and other marginalized people move towards improved health and self-sufficiency.
