Double India Pale, Triple India Pale Ale, Imperial India Pale Ale. What do all these all have in common? The answer is truckloads of hops and dump trucks worth of malt. Put it together and you have the recipe for a beer that is one part adult beverage and one part brewery smoothie.
Which is why this writer exclaims to Airways Brewing “bring on our smoothie”.
Announced a short while ago, Airways is happy to announce their “… true, Imperial IPA”, Loud Lady Imperial IPA.
Brewed with more 52 pounds of Cascade, Centennial, and Simcoe hops, in each barrel; say hello to this 200 IBU b**ch.
As he has done in the past, founder and owner Alex Dittmar sought out Brett Nilsson to provide the label artwork. “Brett is an enormously talented illustrator and was the mastermind behind the look of our popular Sky Hag character. We think he’s done an equally impressive job creating the Loud Lady.”
Starting on Friday, June 14th, you can pick up 22-ounce bottles at both Airways locations, including their Bistro. Plus if you are lazy to take a bottle home, the tasting room & bistro will have LL on draft.
As always if you can’t make it out to either brewery locations, you can look for bottles of Loud Lady Imperial IPA wherever you see Airways beers.
