Festival Preview: AZ: 2/5 – 2/10 Deschutes Brewery comes to Flagstaff, AZ

Despite the header on the stationery, this website is about promoting craft beer in the Northwest. This doesn’t mean we don’t promote the breweries in the Northwest. It just means we recognize that not everyone wants to drink a Boundary Bay IPA, Deschutes Black Butte, Bitch Creek Bitter. But wouldn’t that be awesome if you could find them all in one location? But we digress.

The fact is breweries expand. It’s a positive fact of economics. People want your beer that you make and when you can’t keep up with the orders you make more. But eventually you reach critical mass with your local beer customers. Eventually some upstart brewery, that no one has heard of, replaces you on the draft line. It happens.

So what do you do? You branch out and remind new people that different beer is coming to your town. Which is what Deschutes is doing again when their Base Camp For Beer rolls into Arizona.

More to the point the Base Camp crew and Woody will be stopping by Flagstaff to promote the virtues of a Red Chair, Black Butte, or The Abyss.

Dates are from Tuesday February 5th thru Sunday February 10th.

More about Base Camp ‘Flagstaff’.

Deschutes Brewery brings its Base Camp For Beer Fanatics campaign to Flagstaff, Arizona for an amazing series of specialty beer tastings, beer and food pairings, and appearances by Woody , the giant beer barrel on wheels. Deschutes brewers, ambassadors and fanatics will be on hand to provide some in-the-trenches insight into our courageously crafted brews.

What is Base Camp you may ask? It’s a place where Deschutes Brewery offers beer fanatics a spot to “pitch a tent” of sorts – and find their footing with the cornerstone of Mirror Pond Pale Ale . Deschutes Brewery Base Camp is a celebration of Mirror Pond’s easy-drinking goodness, along with many more of the brewery’s passion-heavy, pioneering brews. The Deschutes Brewery team is traveling around to cities all over the west, providing passionate fans with a seriously fun exploration of beer.  Make the trek to Base Camp.  It all begins here…
